Today I set up my Wix as well as recapped different shot types.
We were giving a task to make a short using at least three different shot types. The theme we chose to use was happiness. I worked with a partner and the shot types we chose to use were close ups, medium shots and long shots.

The video would of looked better if I filmed some more shots especially some extreme closeups such as a shot of the actor smiling to show how he was feeling about the song. We filmed in the park and it was sunny so we got a lot of light in our shot. I used discolouration in the first part of my short film making it look grey i did not use discolouration after the actor plays his favourite song. The atmosphere changes from grey to bright and sunny. This is mimetic of how the character is feeling.

In the last scene there is also a person is the shot with the actor. Next time I will re film the scene if someone not important comes into the shot.
I had already made a title for my Shot Types short however it was quiet plain and boring. I used adobe premier to add some effect to my text.
I had a play around with the different animations I could use to make the the title
more appealing.
Adobe After Effects

I then added my animated title to my short film in premier. The new animated text makes the opening of the short look slightly more interesting and more creative.

Folly Sound
We watched of folly artist Gary Heck producing sound effects for various films. This made me think about what sounds I could create using everyday objects.
We were given a task to make our own folly sound. The items we were giving to use were sandpaper, a newspaper, a bottle of sparkling water and an elastic band.
When recording I found that it was quiet difficult to make sounds. We had to be creative and work with what we had. Some of the sound effects I made was walking in the rain, a printer and a spark.
I then re watched my my short film and thought of how I could fit some folly sound into it. I decided to go out and record some walking sounds. Leaves especially because the actor is walking on leaves. I also wanted to record the character walking on the concrete part of the floor as there are some twigs and a few leaves. After recording and adding the folly sound to my short film it sounded much better and made the film more intriguing.
