Primary Research

I asked a senior woman living in Wandsworth what is was like for to be living there. This gave me an idea of what things are available and what things she likes do. This is helpful because know I know how best to target my audience and the things they could be interested in. I also went around Wandsworth before i filmed to see if there was anything I could see that was available to seniors.

Secondary Research

I researched and watched videos about seniors 50+. I found out about some clubs, activities and events that are available to seniors and there opinion on it.

In the video we can see are of activities for seniors to both outside and inside. These activities including swimming, dancing, arts and crafts, tack and field, tennis etc. The activities are mostly physical activities and helps the seniors to keep fit as well as have fun with people there age in a nice environment. The music used in the clip is upbeat and cheerful accompanying the shots we can see on screen. The have a few vox pops and voiceovers which can be heard during the activities are being shown.

Silver Sunday

Silver Sunday is an event for old people all across the UK which celebrates there are age and allows them to have fun through a range of free activities. It help seniors deal with loneliness and raises awareness of diseases like dementia. (https://silversunday.org.uk)

Sound effects, Music and Voiceover

The music I am going to use for my short will be a calm, joyful and up beat instrumental. I feel that this type of music will reflect what i am trying to portray and sink well with my footage. I don't think sound effects will be necessary in the short because it is not for entertainment purposes, its more of information purposes. I would like to do a voiceover with facts about things that are available for seniors. I will gather information from my research to make my voiceover. I would like to a interview or questionnaire as part of my primary information. I could include this in my short a vox pop.
