Genre is different types of film. For example drama, horror, sifi, rom-com. Genre is used to help target an audience and make as much money as possible.
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
This film is a drama comedy.
It has an unique selling point as one of the main character is Jim Carey and this will intrigue the audience to see the film because it features a well know actor.
The Pace of the music at the begging is slow and cheerful and then gets more upbeat during the middle and the end to mirror the characters action. The music also helps to portray the film as a comedy and works well with the shots.
The beginning of the film looks like a scientific medical add and then is completely changed after Jim Careys scream. After this the audience can see lots of comical drama happening on screen as well as flashing bright backgrounds to accompany short text shown on screen. The yellow background is use to accompany the text 'The Sun Shines Brightly'.
The shot length goes from quiet long with the same images on screen to short and flashy with lots of jump cuts. The fats pace shows the audience that a lot is happen, it also makes it appear fun.
The raid two is an crime/thriller movie.
The dark lighting and the sinister voiceover in another language suggest foreboding and making the trailer seem slightly dark. This portrays the thriller side of the film. The audience can tell that this is a crime film from the stereotypical mise en scene. This includes men in suits, cigars, guns, etc.
The music in the trailer sounds like a classical piece and works well with the voiceover. The music stays the same all the way through put the pace speeds up when the action increases.
As the trailer goes on we see that the shots get even shorter than they were in the ginning and a lot more angels are used.
At the end the background is red which has connotations of blood which makes sense because it’s a crime film. The title is in bold and black making it stand out against the red.

The shots at the begging are quiet precise and dip to black are quiet dramatic and make us wonder who the character is. The short pause were we can hear no music build tension and creates foreboding.
The music used is quiet dramatic and has a war feel to it. The music changes during the middle of the trailer to adapt to the action that the audience is being shown.
The icon marvel logo shown. This is used as an unique selling point that will attract marvel fans to see the film.
A range of shots are used during the trailer to show all of the characters special attributes as well as to capture and clearly show all of the action that is happening.
Hidden figures Is a drama trailer. The audience can see from the clothes, props and scenery that the film is set in the 1960's. Another thing the we are able to identify the time period with is the racial issues that can be seen throughout the trailer like segregation and sexism.
The lighting is very bright through the whole film and matches the theme as it gives the audience the felling of hope. The soundtracks is very classic and works well with the action. The are a lot of sound effects which makes the trailer more interesting. The music is also used to build tension. For example when the rocket is launched into the sky, the music gets louder and more upbeat.
Taraji P. Henson and Janelle Monáe are very well know actors this will intrigue people to see the film. Another reason why people might be more interested in seeing the film is because they know that is shows racial issues and that it will be interesting.
