Evaluation
I like the way my trailer turned out but one thing that didn't go so well was that there was a lot of noise in my trailer. This is because I did not use a lot of light when filming as I wanted my trailer to dark, mysterious and slightly scary. I should of filmed with a lot of light and then made the shots darker in my edit to avoid my trailer looking grainy.
I used a lot of high angel shots to emphasis that someone or something was inferior to the character and make it appear that the audience is looking down on her. I used a long shot to show the audience that the character is isolated all by herself with her thoughts.
I think the pop up text that i used works well with the shots. I use the color red to emphasis some words in the text which makes it more interesting.
The soundtrack that i used has a very mysterious and dark tone to it. The singer also has a female voice which mimics the character who is also female. I used a lot of fade to black transitions to add effect as well as giving a more an sinister dark tone. I think the fade to black effect causes suspense as the audience doesn't know whats happening whilst the screen is completely dark. I think the fact that the trailer is very dark leads the audience to what to know more and see if there is something they are missing. My trailer follows conventions and is thirty seconds long.
